Cullum Mechanical Welcomes Four New Apprentices on Signing Day

Cullum Mechanical recently welcomed the addition of four talented apprentices to its team: D’ShonJay Bratton, Brock Sharp, Christopher Lopez, and Javarien Washington. All of these apprentices are joining the Construction Journeyman Apprenticeship Program.

On July 29, 2025, Trident Technical College and Charleston Regional Youth Apprenticeships (CRYA) teamed up for their 12th annual Signing Day, where local youth officially joined employers and took the first step toward promising careers.

Cullum Mechanical is proud to support this program as part of its commitment to investing in the next generation of construction professionals.. Every apprentice in this program gains hands-on experience in several areas of construction operations, with opportunities to explore the service side of the industry as well. This well-rounded approach helps apprentices develop the expertise and skills needed to succeed in the construction industry as a professional.

The Construction Journeyman Apprenticeship Program combines on-the-job training with classroom instruction, providing apprentices with the chance to earn money while they learn the trade. To participate, apprentices must meet a few qualifications, which include maintaining good academic standing. This ensures participants graduate with marketable skills and a clear career path in the growing skilled trades industry.

Cullum Mechanical is excited to welcome these four new apprentices to its team and is eager to support their development, growth, and success in the coming months and years. By investing in this young talent, Cullum Mechanical is strengthening both its team and the construction industry’s future.
