Cullum Mechanical is pleased to announce the promotion of Benn Ramirez from Sheet Metal Mechanic to Assistant Project Manager.
Benn joined Cullum Mechanical in January 2021 as a Sheet Metal Top Helper and quickly demonstrated strong technical ability in hanging duct, running duct, and completing final measurements. His skillset and work ethic were quickly recognized, leading him to join Cullum’s Sheet Metal Apprenticeship program, which he successfully completed in 2024.
Benn has contributed to several key projects, including ILA in West Ashley, Temporary Lodging on the Air Force Base, and Thorne Research in Summerville. He consistently earned the trust of leadership to complete his scope of work accurately and reliably.
While working full-time and completing his apprenticeship, Benn also pursued his education at Columbia University, graduating in October 2025 with a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Safety. He has also obtained his OSHA 30 and additional Occupational Safety and Health certifications.
Benn’s drive to succeed and commitment to his work have led to his promotion to Assistant Project Manager. In this role, he looks forward to continuing to learn, remain dependable, and contribute to the company’s success. His long-term goal is to become a Project Manager and continue driving strong results for the organization.
Outside of work, Benn enjoys traveling, exploring nature, Clemson games, spending time at the beach and exploring new restaurants. While he may not prefer seafood, he never turns down a good steak.
Please join us in congratulating Benn on this well-deserved achievement!
