CULLUM COMPLETES COOLING TOWER REPLACEMENT—CLEMSON, SC
Cullum Mechanical Construction is no stranger in Tiger Town, as both Constructors and Services have been active in construction and retrofit projects for years. Recently, the university approved a cooling tower replacement at the Madren Conference Center, which is near the renowned Walker Course and features an executive boardroom, auditorium, and grand ballroom used for weddings and special events. The Greenville office was awarded the job as one of Clemson’s indefinite delivery contract (IDC) bidders.
Under the direction of project manager Esteban Uzarraga, CSI’s crew was responsible for removal of the old tower, reinforcement of the existing steel support frame, modifications to the water piping and insulation, and installation of a new Marley tower.
