Cullum Constructors, Inc. – Charleston, SC – J. Musselman Construction, Inc., contracted Cullum Constructors, Inc., for the mechanical portion of the Vikor Scientific upfit located in Charleston’s waterfront district. This three-quarter of a million-dollar heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) installation included lab facilities located on the 4th and 8th floors. A total of 2,690 man-hours between supervision, fabrication, and installation were required. Installation included over 2,700 linear feet of material for condensate piping, refrigerant piping, and duct tied into 22 variable air volume (VAV) boxes, 10 Loren Cook exhaust and supply fans, two Trane package units, 100% outside air roof-top units (RTUs) that included factory-mounted DDC controllers and sensors, and a Trane ductless mini-split air conditioning unit with electric reheat.
