Summary:

As Design-Build Project Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for estimating, managing, coordinating, and administering both design-build and design-bid-build HVAC and plumbing projects from the conceptual stage through project closeout.

Requirements:

To be successful, the candidate must have excellent technical skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and business acumen. The candidate must have proven experience in managing both small and large projects and possess substantial knowledge of principles and techniques of personnel supervision and the ability to work closely with all disciplines.

10 years of commercial, industrial, government, and health care HVAC and plumbing experience.
5-7 years of demonstrated experience directly managing projects.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Project or Primavera scheduling systems.
Degree in mechanical engineering or knowledge of AutoCAD a plus.
Must have a valid drivers license and currently maintain a safe driving record as required by the company’s insurance provider.

Job Responsibilities:

Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policies.
Develop budgets and schedules, monitor progress, and initiate action to assure task objectives and schedules are met and work is performed within budgetary constraints and contract requirements.
Preparation of monthly status reports documenting work progress, funds expended/remaining, and description of remaining work activities.
Develop and maintain/monitor project schedule and provide the contractually required notifications of deviation and recovery.
Maintains project job files with all correspondence, schedules, emails, material requests, purchase orders, RFI’s, etc.
Preparation of all material and equipment submittals, O&M manuals, and other documentations as required by the contract documents.
Procurement of all job materials and equipment in a timely manner to maintain field productivity.
Manage all installers, subcontractors, and technicians required for the project.
Implement and monitor corporate safety policy on the project site.
Identification of changes to the contract documents and estimating/negotiating of the changes with the general contractor, owner, or subcontractor.
